We will also be doing a special tie dye project next Tuesday. Please make sure your child has a shirt to decorate and that they do not wear nice clothing that day. I will provide gloves, but sometimes dye does drip onto other clothes.

Our pizza party will be on Wednesday June 10 for all the hard work the students have done with recycling and watt watchers this year. They will not need a lunch that day. The pizzas will be pepperoni, cheese and canadian bacon. If they do not want pizza, the are welcome to get a school lunch or bring something from home.

Week of April 27

It's almost May! I can hardly believe the year is coming to an end. We still have LOTS to do and many fun activities planned. This week also starts our last round of TESA. :)
We will be testing on Tues-Friday of this week. Please make sure to be well rested and eat a good breakfast.
Other important dates coming up:

5-1 Volunteer dessert. If you didn't receive an invitation and you have volunteered this year, please join us from 1-3 in the east family room for cupcakes and student entertainment.
5-2 Awesome 3000. T-shirts and packets will need to be picked up by parents (not at school) the address is on the entry form.
5-6 Mrs. Judd (former Myers student teacher) will be with us to do an ESOL practicum. She will be here through June and will most likely be teaching the Oregon Trail
5-14 Celebration of students

Homework:
This week I will only be giving spelling and reading homework. I don't want to overwhelm the kids with more work during a testing time:)

week of Aprill 20

Hope you are enjoying the nice weather! We still expect the students to keep up with homework, even though it is tempting to play outside all evening. We have our last round of state testing coming up next week. All students will be taking the 3rd opportunity to either pass or improve their score. Please make sure your child is well rested and has a good breakfast next week. Our time to test is 9:00-9:50, which is a great time for kids. We will also have a guest speaker on Friday to show us artifacts and tell us stories from the trail. The orchestra students will be on a field trip Friday afternoon, we'll miss you!
Homework for the week:
